Elder Master Benhuan
At age 100, Elder Master Benhuan still wakes up at 3:00 AM and works round the clock. He is still Abbot of many Chan Monasteries, as he has been for fifty years. He was jailed for 22 years, he has over 1.5 million (that's correct) refuge disciples and his memory is still keen and quick. He is a rare and precious example of the benefits of living the monastic life. Master Benhuan was instrumental in bringing Master Hsuan Hua and Master Xuyun together at Nanhua Monastery.
