It's 6:20 AM in the Australian bush (that's forest, for you non-Aussies). Suddenly a sound rings out that you swear is a madman on laughing gas. It's a Kookaburra, the so-called "laughing jackass" of the Eastern Australian bush. Now that's some outstanding laughter. He's so regular with that maniac laugh every morning that they call him the "outback alarmclock." Here's our local laugher, posing on top of the

And yes, he does have blue eyes.
