Every summer 90+ monks, nuns, and families drive up to Coastal Oregon for a week of Dharma-camping at Buddha Root Farm, our rural property along the banks of the Smith River near Reedsport, Oregon. Pristine mountain landscape, community-making centered around do-it-yourself tenting and cooking, we gather to listen to the Buddha's teachings three times a day. Meditation, guitar-music, hikes and kitchen duty, each day contains more natural living than many city folks have imagined possible. The experience is joyful and has become the favorite week of the year for families and monastics alike. Here are some of the images I caught with my Olympus OM-D mirrorless camera's lenses. Please enjoy.
