Writing Retreat Happening!
It's actually happening, words on paper. Appreciate the support from friends and well-wishers. Visited my mom and sister for three days and came back with some family pictures. Romantic Canadian war hero father and glamorous intrepid aircraft communicator mother. Sister Liz in New York and Clowery siblings in Maryland.
First, my mom. More photos after the jump.

Wow, these pictures are incredible!! :)

we come through our parents but not from them. It seems so true that parents are just surrogates, Through them we come into the world. Grateful indeed, but attachment?

Err...i don't think we should deem our parents as surrogates as surrogates mother do not take care, feed and shield us right up to adulthood when we are ready to fend for our self...hence, i believe surrogate mother is not willing to push herself till her life is at jeopardy unlike our cradle to tomb mothers...just my humble 2 cents...
